Women’s Club Softball

BGSU Women’s Club Softball is a campus organization that provides players the opportunity to continue their careers and compete competitively with other college club softball teams. We carry a roster of girls that are kind, competitive and team-focused. We pride ourselves on fun and inclusive environment that allows our girls enough free time to participate in other clubs and focus on their academics. BGSU Women’s Club Softball competes in the fall and spring semesters, and we are hoping to purchase new tees and travel equipment for practice and games. If we are fortunate enough to have extra funds after purchasing new equipment, we would also like to use the money for a nice team dinner/bonding event.

“Club Softball has given me such a great opportunity to make new friends and continue playing the sport I love. Not only have I been able to be part of something bigger than myself, but also take on a leadership role. I have created wonderful memories through this club, and I will cherish my time on and off the field with my teammates as my college career closes out this year!”

Marlie Unger, 2nd-year club member, Club Softball co-president

“Club softball has been a super welcoming and fun experience. Everyone makes you feel like you belong. Even when you make a mistake, someone will cheer you on. Even if we lose a game, I still have a great time with my teammates.”

Samantha Gingras, 1st-year club member, freshman

“Club softball at BGSU has been one of the best experiences I’ve had throughout college. Not only does it give me the opportunity to continue playing the sport I love but I’ve gotten to meet so many amazing people and create new friendships. This club provides an escape from stress in the classroom and allows me to just have fun while also being active. I’m so grateful for all my awesome teammates that I’ve bonded with the past two years, and I can’t wait to see us grow together over the next two years.”

Taylor Mitchell, 2nd-year club member, sophomore
