Graduate College General Fund

The Graduate College strives to create a vibrant graduate education community that prepares students to become leaders in their field and make meaningful contributions for the public good. Our primary focus for BGSU One Day 2024 is graduate student professional development.

Pictured above are student participants in the 2024 Three Minute Thesis (3MT) competition. This event challenges graduate students to present their research and its impact in three minutes using terms that resonate with the general public. Other signature Graduate College professional development activities include research-focused workshops and publication support, mentorship programs and networking events, and career development and transition programming.

As a supporter of this fund, you will enable graduate students to participate in professional conferences and become members of professional organizations – vital activities to building a network in their field and fueling future contributions to the public good. Your gift will make a significant impact on our graduates as they prepare for the next phase of their journey.

Check out videos of BGSU 3MT winners below to see just a few of the amazing ways that BGSU graduate students are contributing to the public good.

Theresa Lee-Sociology | Mending Ties:  A 3-Year Examination of Change in Mother-Adolescent Child Relationship Quality for Reformed Delinquents

Margaret Carr - Leadership Studies | Leading the Heist to Restore American Childhood and Teacher Autonomy Through Finnish Principles off Joyful Leading, Teaching, and Learning.
