Division of Inclusion and Belonging

The Division of Inclusion and Belonging serves the entire University community. Our hope is to continue to build a campus climate that fosters an inclusive environment and empowers; and supports people and builds up a community where all are welcomed, valued and affirmed.

This division is home to the Office of Multicultural Affairs, LGBTQ+ Programs, TRIO Programs, the Center for Women and Gender Equity, Violence Prevention and Education Services, and Equity and Compliance. Each department offers programs and services for students, faculty, and staff.

Inclusion and Belonging Initiatives Fund 

The Division of Inclusion and Belonging promotes and nurtures inclusion. It empowers and supports people and builds a community where all are welcomed, valued, and affirmed. Your gift to this fund will allow BGSU to continue to provide a variety of quality education, programming and support for students, faculty, staff, and the surrounding community.

Rainbow Fund

The Rainbow Fund provides general support to the efforts of LGBTQ+ Programs, with intended uses including: general student support; travel, event, service, and activity support; operational support; other expenses to support the LGBTQ+ Resource Center.

TRIO Programs Office 

The BGSU TRIO Programs Office offers federally funded educational outreach and academic enrichment programs to help first-generation college students from families with limited income succeed. These programs provide educational opportunities for all Americans regardless of race, ethnic background, or economic circumstances, ultimately graduating skilled and educated adults who can met the needs of a growing economy.

Office of Multicultural Affairs 

The BGSU Office of Multicultural Affairs (OMA) promotes the values of belonging and inclusion, building a culture where students, faculty, staff, alumni, and visitors feel a sense of belonging. Focusing on LGBTQ+ programs, OMA offers education, programming, and support in efforts to create a welcoming, socially just, inclusive campus.

Center for Women and Gender Equity 

The Center for Women and Gender Equity supports students, staff, faculty, and community partners of BGSU with programs, speakers and services that advance the understanding and potential for gender equity. Your gifts today will better enable the center to enhance its programming and services to the BGSU and greater community.
