Schmidthorst College of Business General Fund
The Schmidthorst College of Business General Fund is a flexible fund that allows college leadership to pivot, innovate and enrich the experiences of Schmidthorst College of Business students, staff and faculty. While the fund can be used for scholarships and experiential learning on and off campus, a current focus is to provide students opportunities for resume building, industry-based certifications, free of charge to the student.
Schmidthorst College of Business General Scholarship
Schmidthorst College of Business General Scholarship Fund helps create a brighter future for talented, hard-working students by supporting the general scholarship fund. Scholarships are instrumental for many students and impact their ability to afford college and engage in the many learning opportunities available. This fund is used to help recruit and retain the best Schmidthorst College of Business students.
Schmidthorst College of Business Student Ambassador Fund
The Schmidthorst College of Business Student Ambassador Program transforms knowledgeable, motivated and enthusiastic student leaders to assist the dean and the College in engaging current and prospective students, businesses and alumni. These leaders help ensure a welcoming and inclusive environment in the College and help to share their passion for BGSU.
While any amount given to this fund is helpful, $1,200 sponsors a Student Ambassador for one year. Supporters that contribute $1,200 or more will be given the opportunity to be paired with the student they are sponsoring, so they can learn about this impactful program firsthand and further enhance the program through individual mentorship and support for that student leader.
Paul J. Hooker Entrepreneurship Center Fund
The Paul J. Hooker Center for Entrepreneurial Leadership Fund will allow the College to engage more students in entrepreneurship offerings. Funds assist students with incubating and launching business ideas and help enhance our annual E-Week, held each April to attract entrepreneurial leaders from around the country. This fund is not endowed which means that your donation provides immediate benefit to entrepreneurially minded students at BGSU.
Owens-Illinois Employee Scholarship
The O-I Employee Scholarship supports a student demonstrating financial need who has a major within the Schmidthorst College of Business, computer science, or engineering technology.
Finance & Insurance Department General Scholarship Fund
The Finance & Insurance Department General Scholarship Fund supports students demonstrating financial need studying within Finance and Insurance and Risk Management.
