Women’s Club Hockey

After a few decades with no women’s collegiate hockey in northwest Ohio, the BGSU Women’s Club Hockey team was officially brought back in the fall of 2020. Since then, the team has seen great beginning success with women across the United States and Canada participating on the team. The BGSU Women’s Club Hockey team is a part of the Central Collegiate Women’s Hockey Association (CCWHA) and competes in the American Collegiate Hockey Association (ACHA. We continue to win more and more games with each coming year because of continuous growth and support.

With a growing team of passionate athletes, we are looking to expand our team goals and innovate as much as possible every year. With our constant growth, contributions will be put toward the following:

New apparel for the team:

With our team and awareness growing, we plan to update and stay consistent with team apparel. The funds will be used to design and purchase new team apparel as well as smaller equipment such as pucks and cones that contribute to team unity and camaraderie.

Travel costs:

As we compete and represent our school at home and away, donations cover travel costs such as hotels, charter buses and gas mileage which can range from $1,000 to $6,000. This will also ensure that fees for our team remain affordable for all who are looking to play, which is a consistent goal for us as a student-run ice hockey organization.

As our team has grown, we have been able to create traditions and memories. We would not have been able to do this without our donors and supporters. The support our team has received in recent years is more than we could have ever imagined. We are grateful for all our friends, family, fans, and alumni who have supported us this season.
