Division of Health and Wellness

BGSU’s Division of Health and Wellness is dedicated to overall health and wellness of the entire Falcon family, including neighbors and friends. During these uncertain times, the division’s role is especially essential as it oversees efforts to combat the spread of COVID-19, and provides resources to support faculty, staff and student emotional well-being, as well as physical health.

The division has a strong focus on community partnerships and is working jointly to improve the public health of Wood County and northwest Ohio. It will continue to collaborate on initiatives for health programming, education, research and workforce development."

Below are just a few of the areas that help to accomplish the division’s mission that would benefit from additional support.

The Counseling Center

BGSU’s Counseling Center offers an abundance of mental health resources for the BGSU community, including free individual and group counseling services for students. Their resources and support have been needed more than ever amidst the COVID-19 pandemic.

Student Emergency Fund

In 2020, this fund became a lifeline for students amid the COVID-19 crisis as many students lost jobs or faced other financial hardships. This aid helped students pay their rent and utilities, buy food and maintain internet access for remote learning. Help BGSU students experiencing hardship stay on track to graduate today by making a gift to the Student Emergency Fund.

Accessibility Services

The mission of Accessibility Services at Bowling Green State University is to provide equal access and opportunity to qualified students, faculty and staff with disabilities. Our goal is to increase awareness of disability issues and support the success of students with disabilities by providing opportunities for full integration into the BGSU community.

Wellness Connection

The Wellness Connection at BGSU is committed to supporting healthy lifestyle behaviors through programs which incorporate all aspects of wellness. Comprehensive services including free HIV testing, online tools and assessments and educational opportunities that foster optimum health and wellness for BGSU students and the community.
