First-Generation Student Book Scholarship
BGSU is committed to helping first-generation college students succeed. Programs such as the Generation Falcon Summer Program help retain participants at a higher level than their peers. The First-Generation Student Book Scholarship, for students who participate in the Gen Falcon Program, helps cover some of their book expenses.
Thompson Scholarship for Working Families
The Thompson Scholarship for Working Families provides valuable need-based funding for BGSU students to have access to and achieve their college education. Created by generous gifts from Robert and Ellen (Bowen) Thompson, the scholarship program is designed to help families that may struggle with the cost of higher education. The program supports new freshmen, new transfer students and continuing students.
Administrative Staff Council Scholarship
Last academic year, administrative staff members provided six- $1,000 scholarships to deserving BGSU students who are committed to leadership and service on campus and in the community. Administrative Staff Council seeks to increase its impact on BGSU students by growing the scholarship. Please join us in making a gift on BGSU One Day.
Classified Staff Council Scholarship
This scholarship is given annually to selected classified staff employees and/or their spouse or dependent(s) that are currently enrolled at BGSU.
Clarence Terry Jr. Memorial Scholarship
Clarence Terry Jr. was an admissions counselor who played a significant role in ensuring funding of scholarships for Black students for many decades. Because of him, many Black students received the financial opportunity needed to attend and graduate from BGSU! Thanks for choosing to make a gift today. Class of 1970 Veterans and Families Scholarship
In honor of the 40th anniversary of the graduation of the class of 1970, the 40th reunion committee established and continues to support the Class of 1970 Veterans and and Families Scholarship. This scholarship honors and assists veterans and their families in receiving a BGSU education.
Dzidra Shllaku Scholarship
This fund was founded in 1998 by former students of Dr. Shllaku to support undergraduate BGSU study abroad students in all majors. Since 1998, more than 75 BGSU students have received a Dzidra Shllaku Scholarship award to study abroad in Salzburg.
Foell International Travel Award
This fund was created by Darrell W. and Sally M. Foell in memory of his mother, Margaret Kaesmann Foell. This fund awards up to $1,500 to students from any university for BGSU’s AYA Austria program and is awarded based on merit.
Galen and Katja Koepke Study Abroad Scholarship
Established by the Koepkes in 2016, this scholarship awards up to $1,500 to BGSU undergraduate and graduate students.
