WBGU

Help WBGU-PBS continue a 57-year tradition of producing award-winning programs and documentaries while helping BGSU students gain the experience needed to succeed in their field after graduation.

Your gift to the WBGU-PBS Fund provides the resources necessary for us to produce The Journal, BGSU Brain Game, WBGU Cooks and the Defiance Jazz Festival, among others.

Your contribution will have a real impact in these three key areas:

Student Experience

BGSU student employees of WBGU-PBS work camera, sound, lighting, editing, floor directing and more for local productions and BGSU Athletics. This experience and training helps hundreds of BGSU graduates to get a great job after graduation.

Technology

The telecommunication and media industries are constantly changing. Equipment can be obsolete in just a few years, and when you are as busy as we are, repairs and maintenance are a daily task. Every year we must update, repair and replace cameras, audio equipment and lights.

Programming Cost

Like everything else, the cost for us to bring our viewers PBS programs that educate, entertain and enlighten are continually increasing. Contributions help us cover these increases without cutting local productions and community outreach services.
