The BGSU Academy Band Program is an extra-curricular performance opportunity designed specifically for middle and high school students in northwest Ohio. Students come to campus every Sunday evening to participate in full group rehearsals, sectional instruction and elements of comprehensive musicianship, culminating in a final performance. The Academy Bands are an exciting opportunity for us to serve our community, while also providing valuable teaching experience to our own music education majors. BGSU graduate and undergraduate students have the opportunity to lead sectionals and sit side-by-side with young students in rehearsal. Your gift will help support operational expenses of this unique and inspiring program for young musicians and music educators in training.
