Presidential Priorities

Bowling Green State University is a public university with the special obligation to act in the public interest and create public good. We best accomplish this mission by preparing our students to live meaningful and productive lives. On this BGSU One Day, our third annual day of giving, let’s dream and set even higher heights.

Without a doubt, our students face the most complex world and work environment ever. To ensure each of them is positioned for success, we must target our learning outcomes to be focused not only on knowing, but also on doing.

Together, as a university community, we’ve had great success with high-impact practices that, when our students engage in them, they do better. These practices share a common ground – they all exemplify doing. We are asking that you support:

  • Career Center

  • Center for Community and Civic Engagement

  • Center for Undergraduate Research and Scholarship

  • Education Abroad

  • Learning Communities

  • Bridge to BG Scholarship

With more than 20,000 students, we must increase accessibility so these hands-on educational practices can be for all, not just the few. It’s your gift to support these six priorities that realizes that dream and changes lives for the world.

It is you who ensures Bowling Green State University shapes tomorrow. It is your gift that reaffirms our commitment to creating public good and driving the vitality of our world. In fact, that is what we fundamentally believe 21st-century public universities do. That is who we are.

Together, let’s show the world the difference Falcons can make in One Day!

Regards,

Rodney K. Rogers, Ph.D.                          Sandra B. Earle, Pharm.D.
