Every gift makes a difference at Bowling Green State University! Your generosity on BGSU One Day will provide much-needed financial support for students in the Honors College.
The Honors College provides high-achieving students with a well-rounded experience, including the excitement of undergraduate life, strong academic programming, and plenty of opportunity to explore one’s interests and passions. An Honors College degree prepares students for what lies ahead – internships, graduate programs and a competitive job market – and it’s the highest academic honor they can receive at BGSU.
The college is currently home to over 1,000 students from every major representing nearly every student organization on campus. Here are a few ways you can support them:
Honors College General Scholarship
This fund is used to supplement all current Honors College scholarship accounts wherever the need is greatest while recognizing service, leadership, academic excellence and a commitment to liberal arts education. Gifts made this year will be used to support student travel, student engagement in service learning trips or the completion of their Honors project.
This fund has a matching $5,000 challenge gift associated with it, generously provided by Michael and Mary Lee McGranaghan. If we can get $5,000 in donations, we will actually have $10,000 to award.
Honors College Leadership Council Scholarship
This is a new scholarship recently created by the Honors College Leadership Council to support scholarships to members of the Honors Learning Community. If we meet our $3,000 goal during this event, we can award this scholarship during the next academic year.
Your gifts to the BGSU Honors College make it possible for BGSU’s brightest and most engaged students to thrive.
Make a difference in a student’s life TODAY!

"I've had an amazing experience at BGSU that I am confident I would not have had at any other university, but additional funds are needed to continue offering these opportunities to more students."
- Lauren Riggleman, Honors College
“There are so many students at BGSU who benefit from scholarships and depend on scholarship funds to pursue their degrees. Your generosity is changing the lives of many students just like Lauren. Thank you for your support. Please continue helping our students achieve their dreams.”
