Your gift to the WBGU-TV Fund provides the resources necessary for us to produce Journal, BGSU Brain Game, WBGU Cooks and Defiance Jazz Festival. Your contribution will have a real impact in these three key areas:
Student Experience
BGSU student employees of WBGU-TV work camera, sound, lighting, editing, floor directing and more for local productions and BGSU Athletics. This experience and training has helped hundreds of BGSU graduates to get a great job after graduation.
Technology
The telecommunication and media industries are constantly changing. Equipment can be obsolete in just a few years. And, when you are as busy as we are, repairs and maintenance are a daily task. Every year we must update, repair and replace cameras, audio equipment and lights.
Programming Cost
Like everything else, the cost for us to bring our viewers PBS programs that educate, entertain and enlighten are continually increasing. Contributions help us cover these increases without cutting local productions and community outreach services.
