BG Philharmonia 100th Anniversary

Orchestra in 1918

The 2018-2019 season marks the 100th anniversary of the orchestra program at BGSU! The year has been filled with special guest artists and memorable performances. Our season will culminate with a spectacular performance of Beethoven’s Ninth Symphony on May 5 at 3 p.m., featuring over 150 voices from our A Cappella Choir, Collegiate Chorale and University Choral Society, along with guest and alumni soloists.

From the orchestra’s humble beginnings in 1918, consisting of eight students and faculty (combined), to 80 students strong 100 years later, much has changed. Today, your gift will help support orchestral activities at BGSU, so we can continue strong for 100 more years.
