Cochrane Soccer Stadium, dedicated in 1980 to former head men’s soccer coach Mickey Cochrane, is one of the best venues in the nation and has been home to our men’s soccer program since 1966 and our women’s soccer program since its inception in 1997.
The intimate venue features natural grass, a student cheering section, covered team benches and halftime areas, lights, advertisement boards and 700 permanent fan seats. The venue has seen many enhancements throughout the years, but we need to continue to push forward to continue to enhance the experience of both our student-athletes and fans, as well as bring about the best home field advantage possible.
The BGSU soccer programs are currently seeking the following upgrades (in order of priority) to Cochrane Stadium and hope that the generous donors who participate in BGSU One Day can help make this happen:
1) Field signage
2) Awning for press box
3) Awning for entrance
4) Windscreen
BGSU Soccer will introduce the enhancements based on money raised starting with priority 1.
