The Division of Student Affairs is dedicated to fostering student development in a safe, healthy, and inclusive learning environment. Our work focuses on the student experience and intentionally developing learners, engaged citizens, and social change leaders during their years at BGSU while promoting the public good.
For this year’s BGSU One Day campaign, we have selected the following initiatives to support our students:
Student Emergency Fund
Since the start of the pandemic, more than 700 students have been assisted by this fund. Since fall 2022, approximately 250 applications for emergency relief funding have been submitted . A gift to this fund not only helps students recover financially, but also demonstrates support from Falcons everywhere.
First-Generation Book Scholarship
As a public university for the public good, BGSU prides itself on providing social mobility to its students. With nearly 30 percent of its students the first of their family to attend college, BGSU seeks to provide enhanced financial support for these first-generation students to ensure their success.
