As a public university for the public good, BGSU One Day, our annual day of giving, is defined by impact. Since its launch six years ago, BGSU One Day has raised millions of dollars to create life-changing opportunities for our current and future students.
If you are able, I hope you will join us in supporting BGSU One Day. It will be an all-out effort to engage with our supporters in all 50 states, as well as countries around the world. This year, we are highlighting three funds in support of BGSU students, faculty and staff.
The Bridge to BG Fund helps those students most in need make up the difference between financial aid and the cost of tuition.
Since the start of the pandemic, more than 700 students have been assisted by this fund. Since fall 2022, approximately 250 applications for emergency relief funding have been submitted. A gift to this fund not only helps students recover financially, but also demonstrates support from Falcons everywhere.
The newly established fund will support proposals from faculty, staff and students for cutting-edge initiatives that address challenges in new and creative ways, encouraging innovation, entrepreneurship, and leadership. The fund will provide seed capital to bridge the gap between a new idea conception and its implementation and may be used for developing new programming, establishing new research projects, and providing stipends to faculty, staff and students to complete these initiatives.
Your belief in our University moves us forward and we are so grateful for your support. Any gift, in any amount, makes a difference. As you consider giving back, we encourage you to select a fund that is meaningful to you. If you would like to make a gift to a fund not listed on the BGSU One Day website, you can do so here.
It is your support that ensures Bowling Green State University prepares our students to live meaningful and productive lives. It is your gift, and your generosity in paying it forward, that reaffirms our commitment to creating public good and driving the vitality of the communities we serve. It is because of you that our University will be positioned to move forward.
Thank you for your support!
