Nontraditional and Military Students

Military Student Services

Nontraditional and Military Student Services provides students with access to a Veteran Student Center where veterans gather to study, relax between classes and support each other as they re-acclimate to civilian life and the pursuit of a college education.

We are seeking funds to pilot our Veteran Wilderness Program which will provide the supplies, accommodations and transportation costs for all military participants. Support will cover fees to allow part-time veterans to access the Student Recreation Center, which is critical in addressing stress issues.

Our Student Veterans of America organization utilizes support to cover registration and transportation expenses to regional and national conferences and for professional development for our student leaders

Nontraditional Student Services

BGSU provides assistance to support nontraditional students as they make career and educational decisions. Beginning or returning to complete a college education can pose a variety of questions. The Nontraditional and Military Student Services staff are familiar with the issues facing non-traditional students and provide valuable resources to students as they complete their education. Advisors are available to help students discover and utilize campus resources and develop programs to meet their needs.

Your support provides books, admission to University events, and opportunties for students to attend the Nontraditional Students in Higher Education conference.
