Rugby returned to Bowling Green from the pandemic, stronger than ever, and the team won its 40th straight Mid American Conference championship and went on to take second in the National Collegiate Championship match against Tennessee. We also welcomed a rookie class of 22 that now feature six legacy ruggers - sons of former BG players.
There is, however, another side to that winning tradition: the maintenance of the club's physical infrastructure. We are four years into our five year campaign to refurbish the facilities at the College Park Rugby Field. So far, with your help, the club was able to replace it's 30 year old goal posts, correct a chronic flooding problem, and last year order a replacement for our twenty year old scoreboard. This spring we want to move on to stage four of the College Park Rugby Field's capital improvements by purchasing bleachers that will seat up to 175 additional people attending our home matches.
Show your Falcon Rugby pride and join us to raise funds to add additional seating to a pitch that has seen so many thrilling BGSU Rugby victories - a $10,000 cost.
With your help, we can keep the College Park Rugby Field - one of college rugby's very few dedicated rugby pitches - as one of the very best rugby playing facilities in the Midwest!
