It has been almost exactly one year since BGSU Rugby played its last game - right in front of Kensington Palace in London, England. And by the time you read this, BGSU Rugby will be one of the very few college teams to be able to resume play this spring. Despite all the turmoil of the pandemic, the club still welcomed 14 new freshmen members and is on pace to get another 16 more come August of this year. We are looking forward to making another National Championship run.
There is, however, another side to that winning tradition: the maintenance of the club's physical infrastructure. Two years ago, with your help, the club was able to replace its 30-year-old goal posts. This spring, again with your help, the club corrected a long-standing drainage problem that persisted on the south side of the College Park Rugby Field. This spring we want to finish off the last of the College Park Rugby Field's capital improvements by replacing our 31-year-old scoreboard. It was one of the very first scoreboards to feature LEDs and the electronics are long past the company's ability to provide replacement parts.
Show your Falcon Rugby pride and join us to raise funds to replace the scoreboard that has seen so many thrilling BGSU Rugby victories - a $7,000 cost. With your help, we can keep the College Park Rugby Field as one of the very best rugby playing facilities in the Midwest!
