BGSU Athletics sponsors 18 sports competing at the highest level of intercollegiate athletics — NCAA Division I. We are proud of our student-athletes because of their commitment to excellence on and off the field.
In addition to BGSU’s championship tradition, our student-athletes are winning in the classroom. For the 2016-17 academic year to date, Falcon student-athletes achieved a cumulative GPA of 3.249, and 50 individuals maintain a perfect 4.0. In 2016, BGSU was recognized for having the highest graduation success rate (GSR) among all MAC schools, and 15 of our varsity teams have a GSR equal to or above the national level for their sport.
The Falcon Club Scholarship and Success Fund provides the best possible athletic and academic opportunities for more than 425 student-athletes at BGSU. Your investment in this crucial fund has one purpose: to provide our student-athletes with the maximum amount of scholarship support allowed by the NCAA in every sport we sponsor. These scholarships allow BGSU to recruit, retain and prepare the outstanding student-athletes needed to compete in the MAC and WCHA.
Athletic scholarship costs have risen from $5.5 million just five years ago to more than $6.5 million in the coming year. Now, more than ever, your generous support of the Falcon Club Scholarship and Success Fund provides the measure of excellence for BGSU Athletics!
Any gift of $120 or more to the Falcon Club Scholarship and Success Fund will qualify you as a member of the Falcon Club and will also qualify you to receive benefits during the 2017-2018 athletic year.
